    Elections have consequences

In 2020, Joe Biden was elected President.

    • Consequence: Approximately 10 million people entered the country, largely unvetted.

    • Consequence: Housing costs skyrocketed, as these newcomers needed places to live.

    • Consequence: Among them were rapists, murderers, pedophiles, and gang members.

    • Consequence: Inflation surged dramatically.

    Elections have consequences.

Tim Walz and Jacob Frey were elected to lead Minnesota and Minneapolis.

    • Consequence: Minneapolis became (and remained) a sanctuary city, allowing some of the most dangerous individuals to be released rather than turned over to federal authorities, endangering Minnesota citizens.

    • Consequence: Up to $9 billion in taxpayer funds was reportedly squandered or stolen through fraud in state programs.

    • Consequence: “Peaceful demonstrations” now include burning buildings, tires, and cars.

    Elections have consequences.

Donald Trump was elected President in 2024, largely on his promise to remove as many of the roughly 10 million illegal immigrants who entered under Biden as possible.

    • Consequence: The administration directed sanctuary cities to safely hand over criminals in their custody to ICE.

    • Consequence: When local officials refused to cooperate, ICE conducted raids that swept up not only criminals but also people trying to live the American dream—individuals who might never have faced public, high-risk enforcement actions if the worst of the worst had been transferred to ICE through the normal judicial process (jails, courts, etc.).

Whether you agree with the policy or not, current U.S. law states that entering the country illegally makes a person subject to deportation. If you disagree with that law, the solution is to change it through the legislative process.

Blaming ICE agents—who are forced to perform their duties in unsafe, public environments—misses the point. Those risky operations would be far less necessary if leaders like Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, Representative Omar, and Attorney General Ellison complied with federal requests and turned over individuals to ICE safely within the judicial system, rather than releasing them back into communities.
